I too have fond memories of going to see Auntie Winnie and Uncle Eric at Black Beck Caravan site… we thought it was wonderful having a home in the countryside. We did such a lit of fell walking when we visited.

On one occasion Auntie Winnie said I have a gift for you and Carolyn … excitedly we opened our parcels and a pair of American Tan tights were there … all girls then were wearing stockings … so we thought we were the “bees’ knees”!!

Another example of her leading us in to modern times was when my Mum was so proud of Winnie using a computer to write her letters to her on her lunch break … when my Mum was still using her old typewriter!!!

How things have changed over their and our lifetime …special memories. 🥰 Auntie Winnie always took the lead .😊
